DRUGDEALER SOMEONE TO LOVE

We've been quietly wishing for news of a new Drugdealer album since their instant classic 'Madison' dropped in June. Answering our prayers today, the project have announced Hiding In Plain Sight, a 9 track body of work that features Tim Presley and Sean Nicholas Savage among others. To celebrate and raise awareness, we've been treated to a fresh taste of the album in 'Someone To Love' - a swaggering nostalgic cut with a funk-inspired bass line that stinks to high heaven. Project founder Michael Collins' croons soulfully over the loungey instrumentation, explaining: "'Someone to Love' came out of an impromptu extended jam that my band and I developed show by show on the last full US tour. Then when we got home and I started working on this new stuff I realized it was one of the best moments of us naturally playing. I turned it into a fully fleshed out song about wanting to be truly loved unconditionally, and pretty instantly became my favorite thing I had written and pretty much still sits there." Hiding In Plain Sight will be released by Mexican Summer on the 28th of October. -Holly Mullineaux
